The Willow Grove Fire Company, Monroeville Fire Company and American Legion Ambulance were dispatched to the area of 85 Harding Highway for a commercial motor vehicle crash involving two tractor trailers. Upon the arrival of Chief Foote, he special called Foam 21 of the Elmer Fire Department due to several gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway and the saddle tanks being ruptured as a result of the crash. All personnel contained the diesel fuel to the road surface to prevent contamination of the soils along the roadway. The New Jersey Department of Transportation were contacted and requested to respond to assist in remediation of the product. A private contractor clean-up service was also requested to respond for the removal of the fuel and contaminated materials.
